PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding member that maintains its wear resistance over a prolonged period of time, excelling in durability.
SOLUTION: The low-wear sliding member 10 is used in a wet environment, and the sliding member 10 includes a base material 12 molded from a polymer material having a methylene group and a polymer film 30 covering the sliding surface 16 of the base material 12. The polymer film 30 is constituted of a polymer chain having a phosphorylcholine group graft-bonded to the sliding surface 16, and the thickness of the polymer film is 10 to 200 nm.
