An embodiment of the present invention provides a safety needle assembly for laparoscopic surgery which is safe and convenient to use and is capable of performing injection or suction during laparoscopic surgery. The safety needle assembly for laparoscopic surgery comprises a handle unit, a connection unit, a needle, a needle cover, a control unit, and an elastic member. The handle unit comprises: accommodation grooves passing through the center thereof in the axial direction； a first rail groove and a second rail groove which are axially provided on the upper side and the lower side of each accommodation groove, respectively； and a slot connected to the first rail grooves and in communication with the outside. The connection unit is connected to the rear end of the handle unit and has a first needle hole and a connection groove to which medical instruments are connected. The needle is inserted into the first needle hole, and passes through the accommodation grooves to extend outward from the front of the handle unit. A portion of the needle cover is accommodated inside the accommodation grooves, and the remaining portion of the needle cover extends outward from the front of the handle unit and has, passing through the center thereof, a second needle hole into which the needle can be inserted. The control unit is connected to the needle cover from inside the handle unit and controls the length to which the needle cover is exposed outside the handle unit by moving back and forth along the first rail grooves and the second rail grooves, to enable the front end of the needle to be selectively exposed.
