Provided herein are methods for shifting the isoelectric profile of a recombinant protein product and the use of such methods in the production of recombinant protein products. Recombinant protein products produced by such methods are also provided. The present invention is based at least in part on the discovery that incubating a recombinant protein product for an additional period of time under certain conditions results in a shift in the isoelectric profile of the recombinant protein product.
