PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for automatically aligning irregularly placed convex bodies such as scallop shells or trays in a uniform direction.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for aligning irregularly placed convex bodies with convex surfaces such as trays, bowls, scallop shells, hollow or filled spherical crowns and spherical belts, or hollow or filled cones in the uniform direction. Convex surfaces of the convex bodies are turned downward by loading the convex bodies under a fluid to fall in the fluid down at least to a prescribed distance. By using this method, a large number of scallop shells 1 can be easily and automatically collected with the surfaces 2 turned downward only by loading the scallop shells 1 one after another into a water tank 5 filled with water 6 to fall in the water tank down at least to the prescribed distance.【課題】不規則に置かれた皿、ホタテ貝殻のような凸面体の向きを自動的に一定の向きに揃える方法を提供する。【解決手段】皿、椀、ホタテ貝殻、中空又は中実の球冠及び球帯、中空又は中実の錐体のような凸面を有する凸面体において、不規則に置かれた前記凸面体の向きを一定の向きに揃える方法であって、前記凸面体を流体中に投下し、流体中を所定の距離以上落下させることで、前記凸面体の凸面を下にする。この方法を使用することで大量のホタテ貝殻1を順次、水6を張った水槽5に投下し所定の距離以上落下させるだけで、簡単かつ自動的に表面2を下にし、回収することができる。【選択図】図2
