PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which: treatment of chronic renal failure requires maintenance of renal function as well as management of the risk of cardiovascular diseases caused by oxidative stress in the blood vessel and preventive or therapeutic agent for chronic renal failure that suppresses exacerbation of pathology of chronic renal failure is needed.SOLUTION: The preventive or therapeutic agent containing chitosan can reduce the blood concentration of indoxyl sulfuric acid, an uremic substance in chronic renal failure as well as a causative substance inducing an environment of oxidative stress, to suppress progress of pathology of chronic renal failure.COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】 慢性腎不全の治療は、腎臓機能の維持と共に、血管中の酸化ストレスに起因する心血管疾患リスクを管理する必要がある。慢性腎不全に対して、その病態増悪の進行を抑制する慢性腎不全予防剤または慢性腎不全治療剤が求められている。【解決手段】 キトサンを含む慢性腎不全予防剤または慢性腎不全治療剤が、慢性腎不全疾患における尿毒症物質であると共に酸化ストレス環境を惹起する原因物質である血中インドキシル硫酸濃度を低下させ、慢性腎不全の病態進行を抑制できる慢性腎不全予防剤または慢性腎不全治療剤として提供する事ができる。【選択図】図1
