The present invention relates to a device for monitoring (100) the state of health of an equine (EQ) using a probe (SSC) capable of continuously measuring a physiological parameter relating to the state of health of said equine (EQ), wherein said probe (SSC), termed subcutaneous, is implanted under the skin of said equine (EQ) at the level of the neck (EN), wherein said device (100) comprises an electronic module (10) comprising a sensor (11) configured to directly or indirectly recover, from said subcutaneous probe (SSC), a piece of physiological data containing at least one piece of information relating to the physiological parameter measured (T), and attaching means (20), the position of which can be adjusted along the mane (CR) of said equine (EQ), comprising a jaw (21) configured to clamp the hair of the mane (CR) of said equine (EQ) in order to attach said monitoring device (100) directly onto said equine (EQ) at the level of the neck (EN).
