PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of giving a wearer a sense of security with respect to absorptivity and leakage prevention property by providing recesses on a skin surface sheet.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 1 comprises an absorber 30, a skin surface sheet 10, a non-skin surface sheet 20, a pair of compression parts 80, a central region CB located between the pair of compression parts and having a thickness thicker than the outer edge of the absorber. Recesses extending in directions crossing a product longitudinal direction and a product width direction are formed on the skin surface sheet in a lattice shape. The recesses comprise a plurality of first recesses 51 extending in a first direction D1 and a plurality of second recesses 52 extending in a second direction D2 crossing the first direction. A first region R1 sandwiched by the adjacent first recesses and a second region R2 sandwiched by the adjacent second recesses are formed.
