The appliance (1) has two telescopes (3) that comprise a telescopic tube (3R) and a telescopic slide rod. The free ends (3FE) of the telescopes are fixed and secured to an upper jaw (OK) and a lower jaw (UK) of a teeth (7) of a patient, through a hinge connection (13). A tooth bearing is provided for connection of the upper jaw and the lower jaw to the teeth and is engaged with the buccal, distal, mesial and occlusal tooth surfaces.
