To provide a combine capable of holding surely, a closed state of a top plate, and reducing troublesomeness in inspection and maintenance of a thresher.SOLUTION: A thresher for performing threshing processing of reaped grain culm comprises a device body 9W supported to a machine body frame, a top plate 20 supported to an upper part of the device body 9W so as to freely oscillate around a horizontal shaft, and can oscillate over an open state in which an upper part is opened upward and a closed state in which the upper part is closed, and a lock mechanism 40 for holding a position of the top plate to the position in the closed state. The lock mechanism 40 has a first engagement part 41 provided on one of the top plate 20 and the device body 9W, and a second engagement part 42 provided on the other of the top plate and device body 9W and can engage to the first engagement part.
