Provided is a composition for application to an object surface to provide a therapeutic or nutritional amount of vitamin D in a single drop to a human being who is to suck said composition directly from said object surface. wherein said composition oomprises vitamin D and a compound selected from the group consisting of caprylic acid, caprylic monoglyceride and monocaprylin, in a liquid, biologically-acceptable oil medium, wherein the concentration of vitamin D is between 9 to 9000 mcg/ml.
