PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation image capturing system for automatically and accurately preventing radiation image capturing from being performed by using an improper cassette in an environment ready to capture images by inserting either a CR cassette or an FPD cassette into the same Buckys device.SOLUTION: The radiation image capturing system 1 includes a radiation generating apparatus 4, the Buckys device 3, the portable FPD cassette 2a, the CR cassette 2b, and a console 7 having a display section 71. The Buckys device 3 notifies the console 7 of the type of the loaded cassette when either the portable FPD cassette 2a or the CR cassette 2b is loaded therein.
