PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel measuring apparatus for accurately determining ankle impedance (a coefficient of elasticity and a coefficient of viscosity).SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an apparatus for measuring an ankle impedance of a sitting subject 2. The measuring apparatus includes a foot plate 10 on which the foot 2a of the subject 2 is placed, a toe fixture 11 fixing the foot 2a onto the foot plate 10, first to third drive units 12-14 which swing and rotate the foot plate 10 around first to third rotary shafts 30, 50, and 70 in longitudinal, horizontal and vertical directions, and angle detection means 15 for detecting the angle of the foot plate 10. The drive units 12-14 includes drive sources 38, 58, and 78 and transmission mechanisms 39, 59, and 79 applying drive rotating force to the foot plate 10.
