PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image diagnostic apparatus and an image processing parameter setting method, capable of setting the value of an image processing parameter for performing image processing even for an input image which is inclined unexpectedly similarly to a normal input image without inclination.

SOLUTION: Images in three directions orthogonal to each other are prepared using three-dimensional image data, the inclination of one arbitrary image of the images in the three directions is corrected, and the image orthogonal to the one image whose inclination is corrected is prepared. The setting input of the value of the image processing parameter for performing the image processing or the value of an imaging parameter for performing imaging on the one image whose inclination is corrected or on the image orthogonal to the one image whose inclination is corrected is received. The image processing is performed on the basis of the set and inputted value of the image processing parameter to prepare a result image, or imaging is performed on the basis of the set and inputted value of the imaging parameter.
