A display device according to an exemplary embodiment includes an audio output part for transmitting an audio signal and a marker signal of an inaudible region to an external sound output device； a sound receiving part for receiving a sound wave output from the external sound output device in response to the audio signal and the marker signal of the inaudible region； and a control part for calculating a delay time based on a difference between the transmission time of the marker signal and the reception time of the sound wave, and correcting the transmission time of the audio signal based on the calculated delay time.
