The disclosure provides various apparatuses comprising a shaft section extending longitudinally along a first plane. An end effector comprises a first jaw and a second jaw configured to pivotally open and close in a second plane relative to the first plane about a pivot point. The first plane is orthogonal to the second plane. An articulation section is disposed between the shaft section and the end effector. The articulation section is configured to articulate in the second plane relative to the first plane in response to a rotatable articulation control mechanism. Also disclosed are configuration where at least one of the first and second jaws comprises an electrode.
