The invention provides a device for reducing vegetable products. The device comprises reducing means and feeding means for supplying the vegetable products to be reduced to the reducing elements in a feeding direction. The reducing means comprise a housing part and at least one rotary member disposed within the housing part, which rotary member is rotatable about an associated axis of rotation that extends perpendicularly to the feeding direction. The at least one rotary member comprises a shaft member whose central axis coincides with the associated axis of rotation and a number of arms extending from said shaft member, which arms are provided with reducing elements at their ends. The housing part comprises an inlet for presenting, via said inlet, material supplied by the feeding means to the at least one rotary member in use, and an outlet for discharging vegetable material subjected to the reducing action of the at least one rotary member.
