PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry powder of barley stems and leaves of which taste and nutritional value are improved by the material itself, and to further provide an edible and drinkable composition that is rich in nutrition and highly palatable such as Ao-jiru (green juice) due to an inclusion of the dry powder of barley stems and leaves.SOLUTION: A dry powder of stems and leaves of at least one variety of barley selected from Mannen-boshi, Daishi-mochi, Ichiban-bosi, and Haru-shizuku cultivated in Aso area in Kumamoto Prefecture can provide an edible and drinkable composition that is rich in nutrition and highly palatable such as Ao-jiru due to a significant improvement in the content of specific nutrients.SELECTED DRAWING: None
