An apparatus for transporting, storing, dispensing or returning drugs and medical supplies comprising: a plurality of individually lockable containers (150), where each of said containers is substantially rectangular in shape and comprises: four side walls, a bottom wall, and a cover (151) forming a slot (152) located in a front portion thereof, where said cover is hingedly mounted on one of the side walls so that the cover can selectively move between an open position and a position closed； a plurality of locking mechanisms, each associated with one of said plurality of individually lockable containers and comprising: a lock plate (402) wherein said lock plate is pivotally mounted to the front wall of the lockable container at a point pivot point (460) and has an upper portion located above said pivot point and a lower portion located below said pivot point, a latch (420) located on the upper portion of said locking plate (402), where said lock plate is configured to selectively rotate around said pivot point (460) between a locked position, whereby the latch engages said slot (152), and an unlocked position, whereby the latch is located fully out from said slot, an actuator (400) configured for horizontal movement to contact the lower portion of the lock plate, thus rotating the lock plate between position locked and unlocked positions, a post (452) located on the front wall of the container (150), and a tail (451) extending from the lower portion of the locking plate (402) and configured to deflect when contacted with the post (452) for skewing the lock plate (402) in the unlocked position； and a supply module (110) configured to receive said plurality of lockable containers (150).Un aparato para transportar, almacenar, dispensar o devolver fármacos y suministros médicos que comprende: una pluralidad de contenedores bloqueables individualmente (150), donde cada uno de dichos contenedores es de forma sustancialmente rectangular y comprende: cuatro paredes laterale
