This present invention is provided with an absorbent body (50) having: a large number of cells (55) each of which is enclosed by a bonded part (54) of a front sheet (51) and back sheet (52) and in which the front sheet (51) and the back sheet (52) are not bonded to each other; and granular material which is included within the cells (55) and contains superabsorbent polymer particles (53). The bonded part (54) comprises a weakly bonded section (54b) which can be separated by the expansion force of the superabsorbent polymer particles (53) in adjacent cells (55). The absorbent body (50) has an absorption promoting region which includes an excretion point (Z1) which faces an excretory opening of a wearer and at least a portion of the area around the excretion point (Z1).
