PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hook removing tool capable of surely removing a hook in a simple manner without the need of holding a fish with a hand and inverting the hook by 180 degrees in a mouth of the fish.MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEM: A hook removing tool 1 includes a hook removing stick 3 and a hook removing pipe 2. The hook removing stick 3 has a distal end 30 that is provided with a hole 30d having a slit 30b for receiving a leader 17 and a hook 15. The hook removing stick 3 is slidable in the hook removing pipe 2 in a longitudinal direction. The hook removing pipe 2 has a distal end that is provided with a distal end opening 20c through which the distal end 30 of the hook removing stick 3 can protrude out. The distal end opening 20c of the pipe is provided with a hook holding recess 20d with which a body part 15m of the hook 15 is engaged. The hole 30d with the slit of the hook removing stick 3 has an inclined surface 30g going upward in a distal end direction.
