The present invention relates to a system for detecting a head of an animal using depth information and a detection method therefor and, more particularly, to a system for detecting a head of an animal using depth information, which comprises: an information acquisition unit (100) for acquiring depth information of a detection space using a depth camera； and a determination unit (200) for calculating information on the height of a head of an animal within the detection space by analyzing the depth information received from the information acquisition unit (100), and when the information on the height of the head is different from a predetermined setting value on the basis of comparison, determining whether the animal is mounted.La présente invention concerne un système de détection de la tête d'un animal à l'aide d'informations de profondeur et un procédé de détection associé. L'invention concerne plus particulièrement un système de détection de la tête d'un animal à l'aide d'informations de profondeur, qui comprend : une unité d'acquisition d'informations (100) destinée à acquérir des informations de profondeur d'un espace de détection à l'aide d'une caméra de profondeur ； et une unité de détermination (200) pour calculer des informations sur la hauteur de la tête d'un animal à l'intérieur de l'espace de détection par analyse des informations de profondeur reçues de l'unité d'acquisition d'informations (100), et lorsque les informations relatives à la hauteur de la tête sont différentes d'une valeur de réglage prédéterminée sur la base de la comparaison, déterminer si l'animal est monté.본 발명은 깊이 정보를 이용한 동물의 머리 탐지 시스템 및 그 탐지 방법에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 깊이 카메라를 이용하여 탐지공간의 깊이 정보를 획득하는 정보 획득부(100) 및 상기 정보 획득부(100)로부터 전달받은 깊이 정보를 분석하여 탐지공간 내의 동물의 머리 높이 정보를 산출하고, 상기 머리 높이 정보가 기설정된 설정값과 비교하여 상이할 경우, 동물의 승가 여부를 판단하는 판단부(200)를 포함하여 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 깊이 정보를 이용한 동물의 머리 탐지 시스템에 관한 것이다.
