The present invention relates to a composition containing a Nelumbinis semen extract as an active ingredient for suppressing UV-induced skin aging and provides a method for preparing the Nelumbinis semen extract comprising the steps of: pulverizing Nelumbinis semen； adding water to the pulverized Nelumbinis semen and mixing together to contains 0.5-4 wt% of Nelumbinis semen； and heating the mixture for 10-40 minutes. More specifically, the method is characterized by containing 1 wt% of Nelumbinis semen and extracting Nelumbinis semen by hot water at 100 for 20 minutes.
