The invention relates to a press cover for a cheesemold, in particular for a cheese mold (1, 12) of metal,comprising a round or polygonal cross section, whereinthe shape and dimensions of the press cover (1)corresponds to the inner cross section of the cheesemold (1). It is to be designed in a simple manner,withstand a press power and also satisfy high hygienedemands.This is solved in that the press cover (1) comprises aperforated plate (22), the shape and dimensions ofwhich corresponds to the inner cross section of thecheese mold (1, 12), on which a reinforcing ribstructure (23, 24) is arranged.
