The silk protein is silk fibroin. The silk fibroin is decomposed using a calcium salt solution or a mixture solution of calcium salt and ethanol. A method for decomposing the silk fibroin comprises: a step of dissolving the silk fibroin in a solution containing the calcium salt and a step of removing the calcium salt. The calcium salt is calcium chloride.
