PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a root vegetable harvester comprising a mud dropping device which is configured so that mud on a crop can be dropped at a position as low as possible in an early stage.SOLUTION: A root vegetable harvester comprises, on a lower side of a transport path on the pull-out transport device, a mud dropping device 3 for coming into contact with root parts of crops being transported to remove mud. The mud dropping device 3 comprises: a contact rotor 31 for coming into contact with the crops to scrape off mud adhered to the crops； an electric motor for driving the contact rotor 31 to rotate； and a support frame body for supporting the contact rotor 31 and the electric motor.
