The present invention relates to a functional safety protector for a grass cutter that is formed to be capable of improving the safety and work efficiency of a grass cutter which is used to cut the lawn or weeds growing in a garden, a burial ground, a rice field, and the like. More particularly, a lower plate material plate that has moving type supporting roller means which is supported by the ground surface, rotated forward and backward, and slid to the left and to the right and an upper net body plate that has net body means which is capable of monitoring the movement of a grass cutter blade and an obstacle are disposed to interlock with an operating rod in a safety cover that is disposed on a rear side of the grass cutter blade which is disposed in a tip end portion of the operating rod of the grass cutter so as to protect a grass cutter user and block flying materials. Accordingly, the weight of the operating rod is supported from the ground surface and a bottom portion thereof is supported to facilitate movements in all directions. At the same time, the fragments of the grass cutter blade that are broken and bounce due to the collision with an obstacle such as stones during a cutting operation or various flying materials that are broken and bounce due to the collision with the grass cutter blade are scattered through upper and lower spaces of the safety cover, and thus even the flying materials that are not blocked by the safety cover can be completely blocked and the flying of the materials toward the grass cutter user can be completely blocked. As such, the cutting operation can be performed without having to lift the operating rod, and the cutting operation can be performed with safety and convenience by the grass cutter user using the grass cutter without concerns over injury due to a safety accident relating to the grass cutter or the flying materials.
