TRIPANOCIDE STEROID COMPOUND, ITS USE, PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITIONS AND TREATMENT METHOD The present invention relates to the use of androsterone-derived compounds useful in inhibiting the enzymes TcG6PDH (Trypanosoma cruzi glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase) and TbG6P6H -phosphate dehydrogenase (Trypanosoma brucei), with application in the treatment of Chagas disease and Sleep, respectively. More specifically, the androsterone derivatives of the present invention are 16-X-DHEA or 16-X-EA, where X may be F, C1, Br, or 1, where DHEA and EA are dehydroepiandrosterone and epiandrosterone, respectively, as well as their pharmaceutically acceptable salts capable of inhibiting the above mentioned enzymes at low concentrations.COMPOSTO ESTEROIDAL TRIPANOCIDA, SEU USO, COMPOSIÇÕES FARMACÊUTICAS E MÉTODO DE TRATAMENTO A presente invenção refere-se ao uso de compostos derivados de androsterona, úteis na inibição das enzimas TcG6PDH (glicose-6-fosfato desidrogenase de Tripanosoma cruzi) e TbG6PDH (glicose-6-fosfato desidrogenase de Tripanosoma brucei), com aplicação nos tratamentos das doenças de Chagas e do Sono, respectivamente. Mais especificamente, os derivados de androsterona da presente invenção são 16-X-DHEA ou 16-X-EA, onde X pode ser F, C1, Br, ou 1, onde DHEA e EA são dehidroepiandrosterona e epiandrosterona, respectivamente, bem como seus sais farmaceuticamente aceitáveis, capazes de inibir as enzimas acima mencionadas em baixas concentrações.
