The invention provides a herbal formulation useful as a therapeutic and cosmetic applications for the treatment of general skin disorders, the composition comprising at least two or more plant extracts in the form of oil or powder or mixtures thereof, the plant extracts being selected from the group consisting of Prosopis cineraria , lemon grass and Tinospora Cordifolia leaves extracts with acceptable additives and excipients. The solid or semisolid composition is rich in protein/mineral fortified with standardized herbs with proven pharmacological activities such as anti- fungal , anti bacterial, antihyperglycemic , antihyperglycemic, antihyperlipidemic effect,and anticancer activity. The present work is the novel herbal soaps formulation using Prosopis cineraria , Lemon grass and Tinospora Cordifolia methanolic leaves extracts. The major phytochemical constituents with medicinal values have been proved to be present in the methanolic leaf extracts from the preliminary phytochemical analyses. The commercial herbal bath soap of choice has 0.20 g of herbal extract in a 50 g soap bar. This was taken as a standard reference and the soaps was formulated with 0.25 g of Prosopis cineraria , Lemon grass and tinospora Cordifolia leaf Extracts ( for 50 g soap) concentrations to prove their efficacy even at a concentration less than that of the commercial soaps. The extracts were found to be efficient for Invitro anti microbial activities /analgesic, anti-emetic, antispasmodic, antipyretic activities.. Hence, the formulated soaps were found to be efficient with anti- microbial properties when compared with the commercial soaps which can further be used as a biopharmaceutical product in the treatment for fungal skin infections as well, along with its usage as normal herbal bath soap.
