PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device covering a medical injection needle by a safety sheath as one molded part.SOLUTION: The safety device stores a medical injection needle in a sheath. The safety device has a cannula (34 and 40) having a sharp point and forming a medical injection needle, and a molded part connected to a hub like a hinge. The molded part has a long sheath (140). The sheath is made up of a plurality of serially connected parts (150, 160, and 170). Each of the parts (150, 160, and 170) is connected by a molded hinge (152, 162, and 172) integral with at least one adjacent part. At least one part has an orifice, the cannula passes through the orifice and forms intersecting axes around the cannula. The sheath has a channel (220) which the cannula enters when it is linearly extended. The sheath has at least one of latch members (210 and 212) to catch and securely fix the cannula to the sheath.
