PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assist operations for stopping scanning by an operator based on observation of CT images for preventing increase in exposure dose of a subject caused by missing of the timing to stop the scanning.

SOLUTION: The X-ray CT apparatus 1 generates image data as it performs helical scan, sequentially displays the CT images based on the image data as real-time images and stops the helical scan at the time when it receives a stop request from the operator. The X-ray CT apparatus includes: a scan position determining unit 8 which determines whether the scan position reaches the capture position, when a specific scan position set on the subject is set as a capture position and a displaying unit 5 which displays the capture images along with real-time images, when the CT images in the capture position are set as capture images which are still images.
