PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article including an absorbent body having a thin thickness before absorption, and even after absorption, does not inhibit super absorbent polymer (SAP) swelling, wherein deformation such as twisting is unlikely to occur.SOLUTION: The absorbent article has a liquid-permeable front surface sheet 2, a liquid impermeable rear surface sheet 3, and an absorbent body 6located between both the sheets. The absorbent body includes a super absorbent polymer-containing layer 4 and a non-woven fabric layer 5, and the non-woven fabric layer has regions 7 where the inter-fiber porosity is relatively large and regions 8 where the inter-fiber porosity is relatively small.
