A method for operating mobile magnetic resonance tomography system (1) which includes magnets (8) generating a magnetic field and/or coils and the magnets (8) and/or a shielding material (14) surrounding the coils is to obtain optimal image quality during a test period by using a small space and a technically simple unit at the same time. For this purpose, temperature is measured in points on the shielding material (14) by a temperature measurement system (16). Data measured by the temperature measurement system (16) is transmitted to a correction system (20).
