PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a laterally wide ridge in which seedlings are planted in multiple rows is liable to be formed in a molded Kamaboko (boiled fish paste)-like shape having lowered lateral outsides, is improperly compacted at the lateral end portions, because the compacting is insufficient at the lateral ends of the ridge or excessive at the lateral center, when the soil of the ridge is compacted with a compacter having a grounding face with the same height in the lateral direction, such as a conventional compacter, and consequently is liable to deteriorate the accuracy of the seedling planting. SOLUTION: This multiple row seedling planter comprising a travel vehicle 1, multiple seedling planters arranged in the lateral direction, and multiple compacting rollers 81 for grounding and compacting soil ahead of positions to be planted by the seedling planters, before seedlings are planted by the seedling planters, is characterized by laterally inclining the grounding faces of the compacting rollers 81 so that both the lateral outsides of the machine frame are gradually lowered, and preferably further by disposing angle-changing mechanisms 202 for changing the lateral inclination angles of the grounding faces of some compacting rollers 81 among the multiple compacting rollers 81.
