PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of setting a region of interest by switching interlocking of the region of interest with the movement operation of a guide on a display screen, in a medical image processing apparatus.SOLUTION: A medical image processing apparatus 10 comprises: a reception function 112 which accepts the rotating operation and parallel movement operation of a region of interest and a guide on a screen displaying an image generated from volume data, the region of interest and the guide being a reference for setting the region of interest； and a movement control function 113 which performs control to permit the rotation of the region of interest with the rotating operation of the guide and to permit sliding of the guide and the region of interest with the parallel movement operation of the guide and the region of interest respectively independently.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
