Alternatively, the method of treating diabetes-related impaired wound healing includes the step of administering an effective amount of a TNF-α inhibitor to a patient in need thereof to promote wound healing. The method of treating diabetes-related impaired wound healing may also include both the step of administering an effective amount of estrogen replacement therapy and administering an effective amount of a TNF-α inhibitor to a patient in need thereof to promote wound healing.
