The invention provides methods and compositions suitable for influencing arthropod behaviour. In one aspect, the invention provides arthropod-repellant compositions of different compounds. Such compositions are useful in masking arthropod-attractant compounds or blends associated with host body odours. Accordingly, such compounds and compositions are useful in controlling arthropod behaviour and in controlling the spread of arthropod-borne diseases.L'invention concerne des procédés et des compositions destinés à influencer le comportement d'arthropodes. Dans un aspect, l'invention concerne des compositions répulsives pour arthropodes de différents composés. De telles compositions sont utiles pour masque des composés ou mélanges attirant les athropodes associés aux odeurs corporelles de l'hôte. Selon l'invention, ces composés et ces compositions sont utiles pour réguler le comportement d'insectes et la propagation de maladies transmises par des arthropodes.
