PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lumbar assist device having a small number of parts and a reduced weight. SOLUTION: A lumbar assist device 100 is connected to an actuator (electric motor 70) provided on a back frame 10, a slider 80 which is connected to the actuator and moves up and down by the actuator, and a front side after extending in the left-right direction from the slider 80. A second wire 92 extending toward the waist and fixed to a portion of each waist frame 20 in front of each first shaft 51 is provided, and the wearer tilts the upper body forward with the waist as a fulcrum. When the actuator is driven and the slider 80 is slid upward or downward, the tension of the second wire 92 is increased to generate an auxiliary force for raising the wearer's back.
