Disclosed is a method for external diaphragm pacing and synergistic aspiration with a respirator, including the following steps: (1) filtration and noise reduction treatment for a collected diaphragm electromyographic signal; (2) judging the absolute value a of the peak value of the treated electromyographic signal as follows: if a≤0.5μ V, the external diaphragm pacemaker is instructed to send a stimulation current at a frequency of 10-12 times/min, while the respirator is triggered to supply air in a ventilation-assisting mode; if 0.5≤a≤1.0μ V, the external diaphragm pacemaker is instructed to send a stimulation current at a frequency of 5-8 times/min, while the respirator is triggered to supply air in a ventilation-assisting mode; if 1.0<;a≤2.0μ V, the external diaphragm pacemaker is instructed to send a stimulation current at a frequency of 3-4 times/min, while the respirator is triggered to supply air in a ventilation-assisting mode; if no diaphragm electromyographic signal is collected, the respirator is instructed to mechanically ventilate according to a controlled ventilation mode, while the external diaphragm pacemaker is instructed to send a stimulation current at a frequency of 6-8 times/min. Also disclosed is an external diaphragm pacing device working together with the respirator via the above-mentioned method, including the external diaphragm pacemaker. The device introduces diaphragm pacing into the field of mechanical ventilation for emergency treatment and treatment of serious illnesses and causes greater engagement of the diaphragm during the mechanical ventilation process.
