The present invention relates to a method and device for classifying a user′s life status based on wrist activity information. The method for classifying a user′s life status based on wrist activity intensity data measured by a wrist-worn type activity meter at a predetermined time unit comprises: a step in which a modified wrist activity intensity data calculation unit calculates modified wrist activity intensity data obtained by modifying wrist activity intensity data to show the variation trend of the wrist activity intensity data； a step in which a primary classification unit generates primary classification data in which the modified wrist activity intensity data is classified into a plurality of pieces of life status data corresponding to a user′s life status based on a predetermined threshold value； and a step in which a secondary classification unit generates secondary classification data by replacing specific life status data selected in accordance with a predetermined standard among the plurality of pieces of life status data included in the primary classification data with one of the other life status data except for the specific life status data. According to the present invention, based on the wrist activity intensity data, the user′s life status can be accurately classified.손목 착용형 활동량 측정기가 기설정된 시간 단위로 측정한 손목 활동 강도 데이터에 기초하여 사용자 생활 상태를 분류하는 방법에 있어서, 변형 손목 활동 강도 데이터 산출부가, 손목 활동 강도 데이터의 변동 추세를 나타내기 위하여 손목 활동 강도 데이터를 변형한 변형 손목 활동 강도 데이터를 산출하는 단계, 1차 분류부가, 기설정된 임계값을 기준으로 변형 손목 활동 강도 데이터를 사용자 생활 상태에 대응되는 복수 개의 생활 상태 데이터로 분류한 1차 분류 데이터를 생성하는 단계 및 2차 분류부가, 1차 분류 데이터에 포함된 복수 개의 생활 상태 데이터 중 기설정된 기준에 따라 선택된 특정 생활 상태 데이터를 특정 생활 상태 데이터를 제외한 다른 생활 상태 데이터 중 하나로 대체하여 2차 분류 데이터를 생성하는 단계를 포함하는, 손목 활동 정보에 기초한 사용자 생활 상태 분류 방법 및 장치에 관한 것이다.
