The device includes a body portion having a hole formed in an end thereof, the hole adapted to receive the post of the shaping instrument and an attachment mechanism affixed to the body portion. The attachment mechanism includes an actuator, an arm, a wedge and a pin. The actuator is affixed to the body portion and is arranged to connect to the arm such that movement of the actuator causes sliding motion of the arm with respect to the body portion. The arm is arranged to contact the wedge and cause sliding motion of the wedge with respect to the body portion. The wedge and pin are arranged such that the sliding motion of the wedge causes sliding motion of the pin in a direction that is substantially perpendicular to a direction of the sliding motion of the wedge, wherein the sliding motion of the pin causes the pin to engage the notch formed in the post of the shaping instrument.
