The present invention relates to a manufacturing method of a melamine-based microcapsule. The method comprises: (a) adding melamine, 50-300 parts by weight of an aqueous formaldehyde solution based on 100 parts by weight of the melamine, and 0.01-10 parts by weight of alkaline hydroxide based on 100 parts by weight of the melamine, to adjust the pH value to 8-10, and then adding 100-400 parts by weight of polyamine-based compound having at least two amine groups based on 100 parts by weight of the melamine, followed by reaction, thereby forming a melamine-formaldehyde prepolymer; (b) salifying at least one resin selected from ethylene-malenic acid copolymer resin and styrene-malenic copolymer resin with alkaline hydroxide, thereby forming an emulsifier; (c) feeding a core material into the emulsifier, followed by stirring, thereby forming an oil in water type emulsion; (d) mixing the melamine-formaldehyde prepolymer with the oil in water type emulsion, followed by reaction at 40-80°;C; (e) feeding a compound reacting with formaldehyde into the reaction product of step (d), followed by reaction at 40-80°;C; and (f) feeding a metal or a metal compound reacting with formaldehyde into the reaction product of step (e), followed by reaction at 40-80°;C. The present invention can prevent a precipitation phenomenon; minimize the amount of materials added for reducing the residue amount of formaldehyde; maintain the efficacy of the core material in the capsule; and minimize the residue amount of formaldehyde.본 발명은, (a) 멜라민, 상기 멜라민 100중량부에 대하여 포름알데히드 수용액 50∼300중량부, 상기 멜라민 100중량부에 대하여 알칼리수산화물 0.01∼10중량부를 첨가하여 pH를 8∼10으로 조절하고 상기 멜라민 100중량부에 대하여 적어도 2개의 아민그룹을 갖는 폴리아민계 화합물 100∼400중량부를 첨가한 후 반응시켜 멜라민-포름알데히드 전중합체를 형성하는 단계와, (b) 에틸렌-말레인산 공중합 수지 및 스티렌-말레인산 공중합 수지 중에서 선택된 1종 이상의 수지를 알칼리수산화물로 염화시켜 유화제를 형성하는 단계와, (c) 상기 유화제에 심물질을 투입하고 교반하여 유상/수상 에멀젼을 형성하는 단계와, (d) 상기 멜라민-포름알데히드 전중합체와 상기 유상/수상 에멀젼을 혼합하고 40∼80℃에서 반응시키는 단계와, (e) 상기 (d) 단계의 반응 결과물에 포름알데히드와 반응하는 화합물을 투입하고 40∼80℃에서 반
