The present invention relates to a polyp detection device and an operating method thereof. The operating method of the polyp detection device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a step of producing an image by photographing an object a step of detecting a potential polyp area based on the image produced a step of detecting a reflected light area of the detected potential polyp area and a step of displaying a final polyp area except the detected reflected light area of the detected potential polyp area.
