Disclosed are aza-bicyclo-heptyl compounds represented by general formula (I). Examples of the compounds include 4-{ 3-[(1R,5S)-3-azabicyclo[3.2.0]hept-3-yl]propoxy} benzamide and N-(4-{ 3-[(1R,5S)-3-azabicyclo[3.2.0]hept-3-yl]propoxy} phenyl)acetamide. The compounds are used to treat cognitive and psycho-behavioural disorders associated with cerebral ageing, with neurodegenerative diseases or with cranial traumas.
