In the present invention, the efficacy of niobium cytotoxic effect of cedrol and widdrol, which are the compounds derived from the fragrance of the juniper and the fescue, is confirmed by using the human neuroblastoma SH-SY5Y cells. L-glutamic acid and 6-hydroxydopamine (6-OHDA) were used to induce toxicity of SH-SY5Y cells. From the results of this study, it was found that chrysanthemum extract and chrysanthemum - derived compounds, Sidorol and Weedol, have efficacy as a pharmaceutical composition for the prevention or treatment of Parkinson 's disease.본 발명에서는 향나무 추출물 및 향나무 유래 화합물인 세드롤(cedrol), 위드롤(widdrol)의 신경세포보호 효능을 사람 신경모세포종 SH-SY5Y 세포를 사용하여 확인하였다. 이 때 SH-SY5Y 세포의 독성을 유발하기 위하여 L-글루탐산 및 6-hydroxydopamine (6-OHDA)를 사용하였다. 본 연구 결과를 통해 향나무 추출물 및 향나무 유래 화합물인 세드롤과 위드롤이 파킨슨 병 예방 또는 치료용 약학 조성물로서의 효능을 보유함을 알 수 있었다.
