An ultrasound imaging system includes a probe, an image generation unit, a positional relationship calculation unit, and an image synthesis unit. The probe performs different first and second ultrasound scans. The image generation unit generates a first ultrasonic image based on the first ultrasonic wave, and generates a second ultrasonic image based on the second ultrasonic wave. The positional relationship calculation unit calculates the relationship between the two positions based on the two first ultrasonic images at the two positions and the two second ultrasonic images at these positions. The image synthesis unit synthesizes the first or second ultrasonic image at one position and the first or second ultrasonic image at the other position based on the calculated positional relationship.
