This disclosure is directed to a catheter having a basket-shaped electrodeassembly at the distal end of the catheter body formed from a plurality ofspines withelectrodes. Each spine is deflectable outwards into an expanded configuration,so thatthe basket-shaped electrode assembly has a proximal basket area and a distalbasket areawith different equatorial diameters.
