PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acidic composition for external use having infiltration accelerating effect of preparations for external use such as medicines and cosmetics into skin, and to provide a cosmetic containing the same, a hair growing agent, and a skin external preparation.SOLUTION: An acidic composition for external use comprises water, acidic polysaccharide, and acid as essential components. The acidic polysaccharide is at least one kind selected from alginic acid and salt thereof. The acid is at least one kind selected from sodium dihydrogen phosphate and potassium dihydrogen phosphate.
