PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiographing apparatus which can accurately detect the start of the irradiation of an X ray by the apparatus itself by accurately setting threshold values regarding image data and leak data which are read prior to the radiographing.SOLUTION: The control means 22 of the radiographing apparatus 1 makes a reading circuit 17 perform the reading operation under a state wherein each switch means 8 has been placed under the OFF state by applying an OFF voltage to all scanning lines 5 from a scanning driving means 15 prior to the radiographing, and makes the reading process of leak data dleak repeatedly performed. When the read leak data dleak has exceeded a threshold value dleak_th, the start of the irradiation of the X ray is detected. At the same time, a specified quantity of the reading process of the leak data dleak is performed under a state wherein the apparatus is not irradiated with the X ray in advance.
