The present invention relates to a method for producing ginseng cake-derived galactouronoglucooligosaccharide (GuG-OS), and a use of the same. The ginseng cake-derived GuG-OS according to the present invention is produced by enzymatically decomposing galacturonoglucopolysaccharide (GuG-PS) isolated from a ginseng cake. Low molecular galacturonoglucosaccharide produced according to the present invention increases the proliferation of histiocytes, increases the production of TNF-&alpha and IL-6, has an excellent cell killing effect with respect to cancer cells, and does not have toxicity to normal cells, thereby being useful as a medicinal product and a health functional food for improving immunity or preventing cancer.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016본 발명은 인삼박(ginseng cake) 유래 갈락토유로노글루코올리고당(Galacturonoglucooligosaccharide GuG-OS) 제조방법 및 이의 용도에 관한 것으로, 본 발명의 인삼박(ginseng cake) 유래 갈락토유로노글루코올리고당은 인삼박으로부터 분리한 갈락토유로노글루칸 타입의 다당체(Galacturonoglucopolysaccharide GuG-PS)를 효소분해하여 제조한 것이며, 상기 방법으로 제조된 저분자 갈락토유로노글루코올리고당은 대식 세포의 증식률을 높이고 TNF-α 와 IL-6의 생성률을 높이며, 암 세포에 대한 현저한 세포사멸 효과가 있는 동시에 정상세포에는 독성이 없으므로, 면역증강 또는 항암용 의약품 및 건강기능식품에 유용하게 활용될 수 있다.
