PURPOSE: A hepatitis C virus vector in which a gene for virus replication is deleted is provided to identify HCV replication mechanism, screen a HCV therapeutic agent, and to produce HCV vaccine.CONSTITUTION: A non-infectious HCV(hepatitis C virus) vector contains HCV genome in which NS5A gene is deleted and has a color-development gene such fluorescent protein or luciferase. The vector is pUC-JFH1/5Adel. A eukaryote derived from HCV virus contains the non-infectious HCV vector. The gene is introduced by pcDNA3HA-JFH1fullNS5A. A system for producing HCV contains the non-infectious HCV vector and NS5A expression cells.
